چکیده
The stress-distribution angle is an important parameter for the design of retaining walls and foundation beds has a non-negligible role in rationality engineering design. There lack research on stress distribution reinforced earth-retaining under cyclic loading. In order to study characteristics geogrid-reinforced soil-retaining (GRSW) loading, GRSW different number load cycles were analyzed by field tests, effects length reinforcement, friction coefficient reinforcement–soil interface modulus reinforcement numerical simulation. results show that, with increase cycles, vertical dynamic earth pressure shows noticeable decreasing trend from high low along wall height. increases first then decreases reinforcement. When more than 100,000, does not change much, upper part remains at 35~79°, middle 47~68°. influence depth about 1.13 times interfacial soil superior GRSW, followed

Distribution of lateral active earth pressure on a rigid retaining wall under various motion modes
The design of retaining walls depends on the magnitude of active pressure exerted from the backfill. Therefore, estimating the scale of this pressure is a fundamental factor in the design. In this study, to assess the active earth pressure, a rigid retaining wall was built capable of translating and/or rotating with adjustable speed. Further, several physical tests were conducte...

abstract the prediction of active earth pressures is essential to the design of retaining walls in case of reinforced and unreinforced soils. in this study, a new analytical method is presented to determine the coefficient of earth pressure. the horizontal slice method is used to compute the active earth pressure behind a rigid retaining wall in consideration of the granular soils. to verify th...
متن کاملBehaviour of Reinforced Fibrous Concrete Beams under Reversed Cyclic Loading
When earthquakes occur, energy released by the earthquake gets induced into the structure as ground motion and this energy has to be dissipated for safety reasons. To release seismic energy, the structure should damage in such a way that on one hand, collapse of structure should not occur and on the other hand, after the earthquake, damage should be economically feasible to repair. To avoid the...
